Six year old Skyler created One World, One Kid to cheer up a friend who was very ill. He recorded a music radio show where he narrates his music chooses and explains a bit about each song. The songs are in a variety of languages and music styles; from Cape Verde to the USA.

Putumayo has pledged at least $2 per album and a minimum of $50,000 to Make-A-Wish from the proceeds of this album.
